Course Description

The Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) instructs and assists DOT regulated employees in the alcohol testing process and operates an evidential breath testing (EBT) device. The BAT play a vital role in the success of the DOT alcohol testing program. The BAT must be knowledgeable and proficient in the testing procedures.

This course provides the required training and includes monitoring of the seven Initial Proficiency Demonstrations. It meets the training required by federal regulation 49 CFR Part 40.213.


This course requires that the participant to have their own approved EBT device or obtain an Evidential Breath Testing Device. If you do not have your own and would like to purchase one, please contact us for assistance.
