DOT Oral Fluid Collector Training Course (Mocks Included)

This training program offers an extensive computer-based course on the collection of oral fluid specimens for DOT purposes. Participants can conveniently complete the training from their home or office environment. Upon successful completion of the course, you will be qualified to perform DOT oral fluid specimen collections and will receive a certificate of completion. In accordance with DOT regulations outlined in 49 CFR Part 40, this course ensures that you fulfill all requirements specified in Section 40.35, thereby allowing you to serve as an oral fluid collector within the DOT drug testing program.

You must complete this instructional course and separate mock collection sessoin to be 100% qualified to perform DOT Oral Fluid Collections. You will receive certificates for both this instructional course and the mock collectoin.

This training covers DOT qu;alilfication for oral fluid collections in all States in the US, plus Canada and Mexico. 

This training program offers a thorough computer-based course on the collection of oral fluid specimens for the Department of Transportation (DOT). Participants can conveniently complete the training from their home or workplace. Upon successful completion of the course, individuals will be qualified to perform DOT oral fluid specimen collections and will receive a certificate of completion. In accordance with DOT regulations outlined in 49 CFR Part 40, participants who complete this course will fulfill the requirements specified in Section 40.35, allowing them to serve as oral fluid collectors within the DOT drug testing program.

After finishing the instructional portion of the course, participants will have the opportunity to connect with one of our trainers to arrange a live proficiency demonstration (mock collections) at a predetermined time, during which a webcam will be required.

This course features insights from industry experts, including attorney Andrew Easler and drug testing specialist Joe Reilly.

The course will not cover instant or rapid testing (POCT), which is not used for DOT drug screening. The course is comprised of a brief introduction, a regulation “study period,” a full presentation, a written exam, and finally the required proficiency demonstration or mock collections.

• Students will learn to successfully and flawlessly conduct a oral fluid specimen collection under the guidelines as set forth in the Department of Transportation’s 49 CFR Part 40 guidelines for collection.
• Students will learn how to utilize the resources provided when conducting a drug screening collection when necessary.
• Students will also become familiar with industry-specific vocabulary, acronyms, and other jargon commonly used.
• Gain knowledge of All steps necessary to complete a collection correctly and the proper completion and transmission of the Custody and Control Form (CCF) or electronic CCF including handling problem collections.
• Become qualified under DOT regulations for DOT oral fluid specimen drug testing.  Your certificate will be issued upon completion, and you will be ready to perform your mock collections.
• Earn professional certification as a DOT oral fluid specimen collector.
